Things to Know
- Adam was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and moved to the Sunshine Coast before settling down on the Gold Coast. He completed his high school education at the Kooralbyn International School where he undertook extra subjects in golf with the school noted for its golf programme.
- His interest in the game started when he was four, taught by his father Phil. Started beating his father when he was 13.
- Eventually became a member of the Golf Australia National Squad.
- He later attended UNLV but turned pro in 2000 and won on the European Tour in 2001 (Alfred Dunhill Championship, South Africa). Won THE PLAYERS Championship in 2003. At the time, he was the youngest winner in PLAYERS history.
- Has won 13 times on the PGA TOUR, including the 2003 PLAYERS and 2013 Masters. Also owns two World Golf Championships.
- Has won 13 international titles, including the 2009 Australian Open. Is a two-time winner of the Australian Masters and one-time winner of the Australian PGA.
- In April 2014, Scott married Marie Kojzar, a Swedish architect. They have a daughter, Bo Vera Scott, and a son named Byron Scott.
