CHICAGO, Ill. – The Presidents Cup and American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) announced today the final teams for the 2026 Junior Presidents Cup, with the event’s fifth edition set to tee off on Sept. 19 at Medinah Country Club on a special routing of Course No. 1 and Course No. 2. The event takes place just days before the 2026 Presidents Cup begins play on Course No. 3 at Medinah Country Club. The 12^th and final Junior Presidents Cup player for the U.S. Team was finalized as of Sept. 10, with Brady Barnum of Dublin, Ohio, earning the final spot.

The Junior Presidents Cup is a two-day, team match-play competition featuring the top 24 junior boys, 19 years old and younger. The juniors are split into teams of 12, half from the United States and the other half from around the world, excluding Europe. Taking place just days before the start of the biennial Presidents Cup, the Junior Presidents Cup was developed to give the world’s best non-European juniors a unique playing opportunity to compete in an international team match-play competition and showcase the global reach of junior golf.

Barnum, a University of Georgia verbal commit, has two AJGA victories and clinched the final Junior Presidents Cup U.S. Team spot with a runner-up finish at The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex over Labor Day weekend. The 2027 grad was named a Rolex Junior All-American in 2025. Outside of AJGA competition, he has a T2 finish at the Western Junior Championship and had three other top-five finishes in 2026. Barnum makes his first appearance on the U.S. Team as the highest-ranked player on the Rolex AJGA Rankings who was not otherwise qualified as of Sept. 10.

The U.S. Team is represented by seven different states, including five players from Florida, two from California, and one from Texas, North Carolina, New Jersey, Indiana and Ohio. Additionally, nine players have earned Rolex Junior All-American honors.

Five-time Presidents Cup participant Matt Kuchar will captain the U.S. Team as they look for their fifth-consecutive victory in the competition after lifting the cup at Le Club Laval-sur-le-Lac (2024), Plainfield Country Club (2017), The Royal Melbourne Golf Club (2019) and Myers Park Country Club (2022).

The International Team has 10 countries represented, which is the most ever in the events history. China and South Korea are the only countries represented by two players on the team. The other countries include Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Thailand, Argentina, Guatemala and Colombia.

The International Team is led by 2019 Presidents Cup alum and Olympic medalist, C.T. Pan as they seek their first victory in the Junior Presidents Cup.

Originally crafted in 1925 by renowned golf course architect Tom Bendelow, Medinah’s Course No. 1 has a rich tournament heritage, having hosted the inaugural Medinah Open (1930), along with both a Western Open and a Chicago Open. Reimagined in 2014 by acclaimed architect Tom Doak, the course now features generous, inviting fairways paired with thoughtfully contoured, challenging greens. Today, Course No. 1 offers an exceptional walking experience and remains a favorite for members. In 1927, Bendelow designed Medinah’s Course No. 2. It was thoughtfully restored in 2017 to honor Bendelow’s classic vision while incorporating important modern infrastructure upgrades.
