CHICAGO – (April 17, 2026) – As part of its commitment to investing in local communities and building a lasting legacy, the Presidents Cup today announced a $150,000 donation in partnership with the George and Cindy Rusu Family Foundation to support Metropolitan Family Services, one of the largest human services agencies serving Chicago and its suburban communities.

Metropolitan Family Services serves tens of thousands of individuals and families annually, providing critical support through housing assistance, mental health services, workforce development, and educational programming. The organization’s mission is to strengthen families and communities by connecting people to essential resources and opportunities.

“The Presidents Cup has always been about more than world-class competition—it’s about making a meaningful impact in the communities that host us,” said Joie Chitwood, Executive Director of the 2026 Presidents Cup. “We’re proud to support Metropolitan Family Services and the vital work they do every day to strengthen families and empower individuals across Chicago. Knowing that this tournament helps fuel that mission is something everyone involved can take great pride in.”

Metropolitan Family Services was founded in 1857 and has since provided comprehensive support to individuals and families across Chicagoland, offering programs that promote financial stability, mental wellness and long-term success.

“The George and Cindy Rusu Family Foundation is proud to partner with the Presidents Cup to support organizations that are making a real difference for families and veterans in DuPage County,” said George V Rusu, Chairman of Captive Resources and The George and Cindy Rusu Family Foundation. “These causes reflect our shared commitment to strengthening communities and ensuring people have access to safe housing, critical resources, and long‑term support. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside the Presidents Cup and these outstanding nonprofit partners in advancing that mission.”

The donation was announced during a community reception Thursday evening, April 16, at the Calamos Center in Naperville, Illinois, attended by leaders from the Presidents Cup, Metropolitan Family Services and Medinah Country Club.

Since its inception in 1994, the Presidents Cup has generated more than $56 million for charitable causes worldwide, reflecting the PGA TOUR’s commitment to giving back. The 2026 event will take place at Medinah Country Club, marking a return to the Chicagoland area.
