A Big Swing for Big Impact - Presidents Cup Leaves Lasting Legacy in DuPage County through Donation to DuPage County Crisis Recovery Center
DuPage County Health Department receives $250,000 donation from Presidents Cup ahead of 2026 event at Medinah Country Club, September 22-27
CHICAGO – As part of its commitment to investing in local communities and legacy-building, the Presidents Cup proudly announced a $250,000 donation to support the DuPage County Crisis Recovery Center (CRC), a first-of-its-kind facility in the region providing 24/7 behavioral health crisis care.
This significant contribution comes nearly one year ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 Presidents Cup, to be held at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois. The donation continues the Presidents Cup’s broader charitable mission and long-standing tradition of leaving a lasting positive impact in host communities.
The Crisis Recovery Center officially opened its doors on September 2, 2025. It offers walk-in, round-the-clock behavioral health crisis services. Located in Wheaton, Illinois, the center will provide immediate assessment, stabilization and connection to long-term care – all under one roof.

From the beginning of planning for the 2026 Presidents Cup over two years ago, we set out to make history by hosting the biggest Presidents Cup in history. And that includes making an impact beyond just a world-class sporting event. The DuPage County Crisis Recovery Center represents an urgent and deeply meaningful cause - expanding behavioral health care access to thousands of individuals and families. We’re proud to be part of helping this vision become reality for years to come.

The CRC is the first facility in Illinois to provide mental health crisis services for both youth and adults, and substance use crisis services for adults. Operated by the DuPage County Health Department, the center will reduce unnecessary hospital emergency room visits and interactions with law enforcement, which put a strain on public resources and are often not well-suited to address behavioral health crises.
“The Presidents Cup’s generous donation shines an important, national spotlight on this impactful behavioral health initiative,” said Deborah Conroy, DuPage County Board Chair. “Staff at the Crisis Recovery Center meet adults and youth who are struggling and provide hope, safety and healing within our own community, regardless of individuals’ insurance status or ability to pay. With your help, we believe our CRC can change lives and serve as a model for other communities throughout our state and nation.”
Since its inception in 1994, the Presidents Cup has helped to generate more than $56 million for charitable causes globally, driven by the PGA TOUR’s commitment to giving back. The 2026 edition of the tournament marks the event's first playing in the Chicagoland area, where the golf community and civic leadership have long partnered in driving positive change.
The donation announcement was made during a special community event hosted at the CRC earlier today, with leaders from the Presidents Cup, DuPage County, and local health organizations in attendance.
