CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – The International Team for the 2022 Presidents Cup was finalized today, with International Team Captain Trevor Immelman selecting six players to round out his 12-player team. Immelman selected South Africa’s Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Australia’s Cam Davis, South Korea’s Si Woo Kim and K.H. Lee, Colombia’s Sebastian Muñoz and Canada’s Taylor Pendrith. The Presidents Cup will be contested at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, the week of September 20-25.

Of the six captain’s picks, five are first-time participants, with Kim making his Presidents Cup debut in 2017. In total, seven countries are represented on the International Team: Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Japan, South Africa and South Korea.

Country: South Africa
Age: 28
Best PGA TOUR Finish: T2, 2022 John Deere Classic
Presidents Cup: Rookie

2021-22 Highlights: Qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs and advanced to the BMW Championship in his first season as a PGA TOUR member thanks to a runner-up finish at the John Deere Classic. Finished in the top-25 in 10 of his 24 starts during the 2021-22 PGA TOUR Season. Missed only four cuts.

Captain Immelman on Bezuidenhout: “Christiaan is a world-class player who has enjoyed a lot of success on the DP World Tour, and has become more of a household name for fans in the U.S. over the last two years. As a fellow South African, I’ve watched his game evolve throughout his career, and he is statistically one of the best putters in the game. I look forward to him bringing that weapon to Quail Hollow Club.”

Country: Australia
Age: 27
PGA TOUR Wins: 1
Presidents Cup: Rookie

2021-22 Highlights: In his third full season on the PGA TOUR, recorded a career-high five top-10 finishes, including a T3 at the RBC Heritage, where he carded a final-round 63. Held the outright 18-hole lead at the Charles Schwab Challenge en route to a T7 and used back-to-back top-10s at the John Deere Classic (T8) Barracuda Championship (6) to help advance to the FedExCup Playoffs for the third consecutive season.

Captain Immelman on Davis: “Cam is a tremendous example of a player who has achieved success on every level, from the 2017 Australian Open through the Korn Ferry Tour and to last year’s win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, we have watched him emerge globally, and I think he’s ready for this moment. He’s the latest in a long line of Australians to compete in the Presidents Cup and will add another layer of Aussie pride to the team.”

Country: South Korea
Age: 27
PGA TOUR Wins: 3
Presidents Cup: 1 (2017) / 1-2-0

2021-22 Highlights: Recorded 11 top-25s in 29 starts on the season, including a T8 at the Sanderson Farms Championship. The 2017 PLAYERS Champion finished T11 in his title defense at The American Express and used a second-round 64 to finish T11 at the following week’s Farmers Insurance Open. Earned a T15 result at The Open Championship, his best finish in four career appearances in the event.

Captain Immelman on Kim: “Si Woo Kim simply could not be overlooked to rejoin the team at Quail Hollow Club. From an early age, he has had an incredibly high ceiling. He is the youngest player to have ever won THE PLAYERS at 21 years old; he has Presidents Cup experience from competing in 2017 on American soil; he is extremely popular in the locker room; and I have deep respect for his unlimited potential.”

Country: South Korea
Age: 31
PGA TOUR Wins: 2
Presidents Cup: Rookie

2021-22 Highlights: Fueled by a final-round 63, his first career score of 63 or better on TOUR, successfully defended his title at the AT&T Byron Nelson for his second career PGA TOUR victory. One year after finishing 31st in the FedExCup, used a T5 at the BMW Championship to move from No. 33 to No. 26 and qualify for his TOUR Championship debut.

Captain Immelman on Lee: “K.H. is a proven winner on the PGA TOUR and someone who has performed at a high level around the world for quite some time. With each of his AT&T Byron Nelson wins, he went toe-to-toe with some of the best players in the world, but his final-round charge at the BMW Championship, where he nearly made our top eight automatic qualifiers, showed me a lot about his grit and determination. With KH, Si Woo Kim, Tom Kim and Sungjae Im, we have the largest contingent of South Korean players on this team in Presidents Cup history, which I’m sure is a proud moment for everyone in their home country.”

Country: Colombia
Age: 29
PGA TOUR Wins: 1
Presidents Cup: Rookie

2021-22 Highlights: Three top-five finishes on the season included a solo third at The RSM Classic, where he opened with a 60. Became the first player on TOUR with multiple rounds of 60 or better after opening with his second 60 of the season at the AT&T Byron Nelson (T3). Advanced to the BMW Championship for the third consecutive season, finishing 54th in the FedExCup.

Captain Immelman on Muñoz: “Sebastian is an exciting young player who has a history of posting incredibly low numbers on the PGA TOUR, shooting 60 twice in the last season. As I’ve watched him compete over the past two years, I’ve been impressed with the consistency of his ball striking as well as his cool, calm demeaner which is going to be a huge asset for us on the golf course and in the locker room.”

Country: Canada
Age: 31
Best PGA TOUR Finish: T2, 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic
Presidents Cup: Rookie

2021-22 Highlights: Held the 54-hole lead at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship before finishing T5. After being sidelined for four months with a rib injury, returned at the Barbasol Championship, where he finished T13. Added a T11 result at the Barracuda Championship before earning his career-best finish with a T2 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Added his third top-10 of the season at the BMW Championship.

Captain Immelman on Pendrith: “Quail Hollow is a golf course which rewards length, and Taylor is without doubt one of the longest drivers of the ball in our sport. The way he responded to the adversity of a serious injury in his rookie season, rejoined the PGA TOUR and had five top-15 finishes in his last six events highlighted by a T2 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, meant that he was someone we couldn’t look past. Along with that, he will bring with him a loyal Canadian fan base both onsite, as well as cheering him on from home, and I look forward to our team responding to that support from Canadians around the world.”
